Hand Crafted Incense Resin
Travel Incense Kit contains:
1 travel size tin
Powdered resin incense
3 pure charcoals
Mastic resin is obtained from the mastic tree Pistacia lentiscus. It is considered an "aromatic treasure," also known as tears of Chios, as it is traditionally produced on the island of Chios. Like other natural resins, mastic resin is produced in "tears" or droplets. Mastic has a long and alluring history of usage as a traditional medicine throughout the Mediterranean, dating back at least 2,500 years.
In the powdered resin form, mastic is used as incense like frankincense, sandalwood, and myrrh. Each incense kit comes in a small gold or black metal box with enough resin powder for approximately six or more incense ceremonies, depending on usage.
Also included are three pure Japanese charcoals, which we recommend scoring in 1/2 unless you create an incense ceremony for a large group or extended time.Instructions are included.

To use: light the charcoal until it starts to glow. Place charcoal in a fire safe bowl (you can add sand, coarse salt or small pebbles in the bowl to help distribute the heat). Once the charcoal is glowing add a few pinches of the resin blend onto the charcoal. Set an intention, hold a prayer, visualize an outcome and send your intentions with the smoke. Can also be used in place of incense to clear air borne pathogens and help purify stagnant energy.
Burn in a well venilated room, in a fire safe bowl and do not leave unattended.
