This smudge blend contains an alchemical mixture of Frankinsence tree resin from Oman, Greek Mastic resin and Oregon propolis . Hand blended in Oregon.
Frankinsence (Boswellia sacra) - Meaning "high quality incense". Is sometimes referred to as the scent of the Gods or distilled sunlight. It has been used ceremonially and medicianlly for thousands of years. Frankinsence is mentioned in the bible numerous times and it was one of the three gifts given to baby Christ by the Wise Men - Magi at the event of his birth. The lore and history of Frankinsence is vast. Read more about Frankinsence and other sacred scents over on the blog here.
Gum Mastic (Pistacia lentiscus) - is a natural resin from the mastic tree which only grows on the southern part of the island of Chios, Greece. The resin "tears" are a lovely transparent, lemon-white colored and naturally tear-shaped. Buring Mastic creates a light, balsamlike, fresh scented smoke. It is said to be clarifying, cleasnsing and mentally refreshing.
Propolis - Propolis or bee glue is a resinous mixture that honey bees produce by mixing saliva and beeswax with exudate gathered from tree buds, sap flows, or other botanical sources. Gatherd from sacred beekeepers in Southern Oregon.
To use: light the charcoal until it starts to glow. Place charcoal in a fire safe bowl (you can add sand, coarse salt or small pebbles in the bowl to help distribute the heat). Once the charcoal is glowing add a few pinches of the resin blend onto the charcoal. Set an intention, hold a prayer, visualize an outcome and send your intentions with the smoke. Can also be used in place of incense to clear air borne pathogens and help purify stagnant energy.
Burn in a well venilated room, in a fire safe bowl and do not leave unattended.
